a little about me
Robbie grew up in Bristol where he began working in the camera department in his teens. He then moved to London and climbed the ranks in the camera department whilst working on studio films including 'Harry Potter', 'Captain America' and 'James Bond'.
Robbie was then mentored by several cinematographers on music videos and commercials before a mentorship with Haris Zambarloukos on the feature films 'Locke', 'Jack Ryan' and 'Cinderella', working as a camera operator on the latter.
Lastly, before making the jump as a full–time cinematographer, Robbie was mentored by Dan Mindel on 'Star Wars: A Force Awakens'.
Robbie was the winner of the Best Cinematographer award for ‘Thousand Yesterdays’ at the 4th European Cinematography Awards 7/19 and his recent short 'Wale' was shortlisted for an Academy Award 2019 and nominated for a BAFTA 2018.
