Robbie is an award-winning cinematographer, recognised by British Cinematographer magazine as part of the British New Wave.

Twice nominated for the Emerging Cinematographer Award by the British Society of Cinematographers, Robbie began his career in the camera department as a teenager. He gained early experience assisting on major studio productions including Harry Potter, Captain America, Skyfall, and Under the Skin—formative projects that helped shape his cinematic eye and technical precision.

He went on to refine his craft under the guidance of leading cinematographers across commercials and music videos, before entering a multi-year mentorship with Haris Zambarloukos. Their collaboration spanned feature films such as Locke, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, and Cinderella, where Robbie also worked as a camera operator.

Robbie’s debut feature as director of photography, The Ceremony, won Best Feature at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, received two British Independent Film Award nominations, and is set to begin its cinematic release in August.

Known for his emotionally driven visual storytelling and naturalistic use of light, he brings a distinct visual voice to both narrative and commercial work.

He is currently in prep on his next feature project, Help Yourself.
